Joaquin Miller Horse Camp is an 8-site campground located in Malheur National Forest, Oregon. The campground is easily accessible from US Highway 395 and is developed to accommodate stock. It has two pipe stock corrals and hitching rails available to users. Visitors can enjoy camping, hiking, and horse riding in the nearby trails such as Idlewild Loop Trail #317, Devine Summit Trail #318, Craft Cabin Trail #319, and Myrtle Creek Trail #308. The campground is open year-round, but drinking water is available only during warmer months. Water will be shut off from early to mid-October until mid to late May or early June depending on temperatures. Visitors should be prepared for rapidly changing weather conditions. Pack it in/Pack it out. Anything take home anything you bring with you into the forest, including all trash. Examples of trash: cigarette butts, cans, bottles, and food.
