GenieSummary
Allen Springs is a beautiful and peaceful campground located on the Metolius River, about 15 minutes from Camp Sherman store. It is open year round and has a variety of sites that include pull-in car camping spots and walk-in tent sites. The sites are large enough to accommodate two tents and have access to the river. There are no amenities such as water or showers, but the campground offers a pit toilet and wood for purchase from the camp host. With stunning views of the river, it is a great spot for painters to capture its beauty. Hiking trails start at the campground and lead to the fish hatchery and the Black Butte trailhead. It is the perfect spot to escape the city and relax in nature.
From The Campground
