From The Campground

Lower Bridge Campground is located on the Metolius River in Deschutes National Forest. This year-round campground offers 12 single campsites, which are better suited for tents than RVs. Amenities include potable water and vault toilets. The campground is operated by Vista Recreation and reservations can be made online or by phone. The campground is heavily used and maximum site spur length is 40 feet. The water system is turned on in May and turned off no later than September 30th. The campground is open to fishing for rainbow trout, bull trout, brown trout, brook trout, kokanee salmon, and mountain whitefish. Flies and lures are the only fishing methods allowed below the bridge. Day hiking is also available in the area.
