Viento State Park Campground is a shaded picnic and rest area for travelers on the old Columbia River Highway. The campground offers overnight camping facilities and is open from mid-March through October 31. The park is closed from November 1 through mid-March. The park requires a Special Use Permit for special events or activities. No metal detecting is allowed in Gorge Oregon State Parks.
