This campground is a great place to stay for those looking for a safe place away from the fires. It is a large city park with plenty of room for tents, RVs, and car campers. It is a dry camping site, with no services or hookups, and no water available to fill your rig. The campground is mostly quiet at night, with the exception of some occasional sounds of construction equipment and heavy machinery from a nearby quarry. There are many grassy pull-up campsites with tables and fire pits, as well as large open grassy fields. The camp host is very kind and welcoming, and the campground is very secure with the host and two other city employees making rounds, as well as the sheriff driving through twice. There is also a two minute walk to the river where you can fish with a license, as well as a boat launch/ramp. The campground is currently waiving the $10 fee for a safe place away from the fires.
