What others are saying about this campground
Ainsworth State Park in Corbett, OR is a great campground that provides visitors with a classic state park experience but with full hookups. The upper row requires some leveling, but it can be easily managed. Cell service is a bit touch and go but T-Mobile works better than most. The campground is well-situated for all the sights along the Columbia River Gorge. Although there are no nearby services, its a great location to explore the Columbia Gorge Waterfall sites along the Old Historic Columbia River Hwy. The park is a great value and can easily accommodate a 33 ft Class A Motorhome and a tow vehicle in the lower section. There is a nice playground for kids and easy access to I90, Hood River is about 40 minutes away. Highway noise is not a problem, and some train noise is heard from a distance, but it has not interfered with sleep. The location is very outdoorsy with lots of hiking nearby. The sites are roomy with full hookups and easily navigable. The park personnel are friendly and helpful. The Reserve America reservation system is used, and while there are not a ton of spots available, our 37 rig and Jeep could have fit in all the pull-through spots. The park is conveniently located right off the Columbia River and near Portland and Mt. Hood National Park.
