This campground is located on the Umpqua River, providing a beautiful setting with lots of trees and shade. It is *much* smaller than it looks on their map, and has tight curves to maneuver, even with a 24 foot rig. The spots are very close together and there are lots of barking dogs, some even running around off-leash. The river is awesome to swim in if you go when its low and walk a ways upstream, and is great for fishing types. The campground has full hook ups, a multipurpose room with a pool table, fireplace, couches, TV, movies and wifi, and is relatively level, though it drops off on the sides and end toward the river. Road noise can be bothersome, but running a fan/AC usually drowns it out. Children can play on the exposed rocks in the shallow part of the river, and there is a hairpin turn to enter the park from the west off the highway. It is not recommended to take large rigs into the park due to the tight curves.
