Ryan Family Campground is a great place for camping or staying in a rustic cabin. It offers beach access to the lake with a designated swim area complete with a water trampoline. There is a huge dock for boat moorage and fishing, as well as a cedar hot tub and a small playground for younger children. The campsites are grass and fine gravel, near level, shady, and in various sizes. The roads are dirt and gravel, adequately wide, in fair condition with shallow ruts and potholes. Verizon data service works, but can be slow. The rate is total for a back-in with water, electric, and cable. The rest rooms are clean, the staff is very friendly, and the views of the lake are great. The Ryan family puts hospitality first and offers a Friday night movie on the beach and a Saturday feed the beach lunch. Although the campground is clean, it may not be the most kid-friendly.
