Umatilla National Forest is the perfect place for a peaceful camping getaway. With secluded sites and a tranquil lake, its the perfect place to unclutter your mind and renew your spirit. The paved road leading to the campground is lightly potholed, but the sites are well worth it. There are several sites located in a pine forest, and some that are situated right by the lake. The lake is great for fishing, kayaking, and paddle boarding, and there is a paved trail that circles the lake for walks and hikes. Vault toilets are scattered around the campground, and the camp host Jody is very helpful and friendly. Be sure to secure your food, as there are black bears in the area. All in all, Umatilla National Forest is a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
