GenieSummary

Farewell Bend State Park is conveniently located near the highway, making it an easy stopover destination. Although there is some road noise, the park is quiet and the staff are friendly and helpful. The campsites are well-situated, and while there are some sites close together, others have hedges for added privacy. The park offers views of the surrounding area, and there are several areas to walk around and stretch your legs. Fishing and boating are available at the nearby Snake River. Note that while the lake may be low, the parks location on the river is a plus. Keep in mind that tent sites cannot be reserved in advance. All in all, it’s a good park to stay in for one or two nights during the summer months.

From The Campground
