The only downside is the sound of semi trucks through the night. Whispering Falls is a great campground for a lazy weekend getaway. It offers spacious sites, plenty of room for extra cars, and close access to Detroit Lake for recreation. The campground is located right next to the freeway and can be quite loud with passing trucks at night. There are vault toilets, blackberry picking, wildlife viewing, and a nice open beach area. The camp host is friendly and the sites are well kept. Despite the noise from the freeway, Whispering Falls is a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
