What others are saying about this campground
Diamond Lake Campground is a large, reservable campground with splendid views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Located in the east side shadows of Mt Bailey, the campground is a great spot for RVs, car campers, and boaters. With three loops - A, B, and C - the campground offers plenty of space to spread out and relax. Each site has a fire pit and picnic table, and clean toilets and drinking water are conveniently located throughout the campground. A 12 mile bike trail circles the lake, and a bike trail leads along the lake and up into the surrounding hills. The lake offers good swimming and fishing, and boat ramps are nearby. The nearby Diamond Lake Resort has a marina, restaurant, and general store, and the lodge has ice, small restaurant and rentable water toys. The campground is also only a 15 mile drive away from Crater Lake National Park. Unfortunately, on our visit it was smoky from nearby forest fires and had limited visibility, but the campground host is available to answer any questions and help with what you need. There are lots of outdoor activities available in the area, including horseback riding, boating, and fishing. The campground is also conveniently located near Toketee Falls, Umpqua Hot Springs, Watson, Whitehorse and Clearwater Falls, and Thielson Forest Camp. Beware the mosquitos and the chipmunks, as they may steal your dinner right off the table if you’re not looking. Pit toilets are available, but no shower facilities.
