GenieSummary

This campground is perfect for those looking for a peaceful and serene experience. With 4 sites and a pit toilet, it has a parking lot feel. However, if you venture further down to the lake, you will find several more private and isolated spots. There are benches, fire rings, and BBQ grills at each site, and the roads are easy to navigate. You can also enjoy watching the pelicans, geese, antelope, and even a wandering coyote. Cell reception is good with ATT and TMobile, but Verizon has zero service. There is also a 1 mile dirt track to the campground with a good outlook over the reservoir in the distance. Canadian Geese were migrating during our stay, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. There are also a few OHV trails and 4 sites at the main camp. No water is available, but the pit toilets are clean and well kept. Fishing is not recommended due to the high levels of mercury in the water due to previous mining upstream. Be aware that in wet seasons, or if it rains much, the relatively flat road becomes a slick mud bog.
