This campground is the perfect spot for a peaceful and secluded camping experience. With plenty of space for tents or RVs, most of the sites are shaded and offer a picnic table, grill, and fire pit. Vault toilets are available, but there is no water or trash pickup. The campground is located close to the Grande Ronde River and is surrounded by tall swaying trees. Wildlife is abundant and at night the sounds of coyotes howling can be heard. Its a great spot for an overnight stay, and the price is unbeatable at just $5/night with the interagency Golden Pass. There is no hook-ups, but the campground is well-maintained and clean. The roads are freshly paved and well marked, and the campground is easily accessible with a four-wheel drive vehicle. This is a great spot for a weekend getaway or a stop on the way to Yellowstone.

From The Campground

Bird Track Springs Campground is a beautiful campground located in the Grande Ronde River valley, less than half an hour from I-84. The campground offers 22 tent/trailer sites nestled beneath towering ponderosa pines. It is a prime spot for a great get-away, with riverside trails and bird watching opportunities. Picnicking is also available at the campground. The Grande Ronde River is directly across from the campground, offering river and stream fishing. The Bird Track Springs Interpretive Trail Trailhead is directly across the highway from the campground, offering excellent bird watching and nature viewing opportunities. Beaver and deer are common in this area.
