From The Campground
Spool Cart Campground is a developed campground located in Wallowa-Whitman National Forest, nestled in the forest on the banks of the Grande Ronde River. The campground has 12 tent/trailer sites ranging from 33 to 45 feet in length, three of which allow for 'group' or dual trailer camping. Site 13 is a pull-through site which would allow for a large group camp or a camp which has several vehicles or visitors. Most sites have full shade and three have trails through the surrounding brush down to the river side. The campground is open from May to early November and offers accessible vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings. The campground is not reservable and has a self-service fee station available.
