From The Campground

Cinder Hill Campground is located along the shore of East Lake with several of the sites close to the shore and the rest within easy walking distance to the beach area. The campground has 108 single campsites, two boat launch areas, and a trailhead. The Cinder Hill Trailhead provides access to the Newberry Crater Trail #3958 and other connecting trails are accessible from the campground. The campground is open from June 16, 2023, to September 17, 2023. The maximum site spur length is 30 feet. The water system will be turned on in the month of May depending on weather conditions and will be turned off no later than September 30, 2023, or upon the campground closing, whichever is earlier, to prevent potential damage from cold temperatures.
