What others are saying about this campground
Nestled in the heart of La Pine, Oregon lies a tranquil getaway known as La Pine State Park. With beautiful, towering pine trees all around, the campgrounds make for a picturesque scene that offers a lot of room for privacy, especially when you reserve one of the larger sites. While some travelers had trouble finding a suitable space for larger RVs, others found no difficulty. The river nearby offers a beautiful view, and there are numerous trails for visitors to explore. The campground is home to a three-ring layout, and as such, campers can expect to see and hear their neighbors. Still, the surrounding area has an abundance of trees and paths to enjoy. Although there isnt much to the town of LaPine, the campground is a fun, scenic stop for Bend and Newberry Volcanic National Monument visitors. All in all, if youre searching for a relaxing trip surrounded by nature, La Pine State Park is worth considering.

From The Campground

LaPine State Park is a year-round camping and day-use park located in Oregon. The park offers a variety of amenities including cabins, boat ramp, McGregor Memorial Viewpoint, and park trails. The north loop closes for the season Oct. 1 and the middle loop closes Oct. 15. The Deschutes Day-use Area and Big Tree parking area are closed in winter, as soon as weather renders roads unsafe. The south campground loop, cabins, boat ramp, McGregor Memorial Viewpoint and park trails are open in the winter. Showers are not available to non-camping visitors at this time. Horses are allowed on most park trails. Beginning fall 2020, horses will no longer be allowed in the main day-use area beach or on the path to Big Tree beach. This change is in response to increasing conflicts between equestrian and other user groups. Our intention is to keep everyone safe.
