Waterloo County Park is a riverside campground that is clean and relatively uncrowded. The camp host is friendly and active in maintaining the park, and firewood is available on-site. The restrooms and showers are well-maintained and considered some of the nicest in any campground. The A Loop is more appropriate for small campers, while the B Loop is better suited for large RVs. There are plenty of activities available, including hiking, geocaching, disc golf, volleyball, fishing, swimming, and a childrens playground and dog park. There are also ADA-accessible campsites. While it may not be the best campground, it is still enjoyable and has plenty to offer. However, there have been some reports of theft, so campers should take precautions and lock their vehicles. Additionally, the area can become littered during the weekends, as some campers do not clean up after themselves.
