What others are saying about this campground
The sites are large and private, the bathrooms are clean and the showers are free. Weve been here several times and have always had a great time. Fishermans Bend Campground is a hidden gem located in Oregon, just over an hour from Portland and 31 miles east of Salem. It is a BLM campground that feels like a State Park, with lush foliage, plenty of trails and activities, and free showers. There are large, private campsites with plenty of trees and some distance between sites, and some have lean-to covers over the picnic tables. Some sites have electric and sewer hookups, while others only have electric. There is plenty to do, including fishing, boating, horseshoes, volleyball, basketball, two softball fields, an amphitheater with evening programs, and planned weekend activities for both kids and adults. It is a great spot for families, with lots of biking trails and swimming holes. It is becoming more popular, so be sure to get there early on a Wednesday morning to get a spot.
