The Maupin City Park is a great destination for rafters and fishermen. Located right on the Deschutes River, the park offers full hook-ups, good Wi-Fi, and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the campground is too small and crowded, with too many trailers and tents squeezed into the same area. The bathrooms are old and not enough for the amount of units in the campground, and the picnic table is half rotted with pieces missing. The walk to the showers from the trailer location is too long, and there is no place to park your tow vehicle without putting it in a position to get hit. Despite these drawbacks, the park is still a great place to stay and enjoy the river, with all the services close by.
