Toll Bridge Park is an affordable campground featuring both electric and non-electric sites in Mt Hood Parkdale, OR. Although there were no hosts on site during my six-night stay, a County worker was present daily and maintained the campgrounds cleanliness. There is no dump station available, but showers are provided for 75 cents for a three-minute shower. The roads leading to the park and within the campground are in good condition, but some low hanging trees in the West Fork/Loop roadway make the turns a bit tight, particularly for larger class A vehicles. However, the East Fork/Loop has adequate space. The sitemap lists the site lengths but may be overly optimistic, especially the pull-through sites, which are crescent shaped and appear shorter than advertised due to shared driveways with neighboring sites. The campground is quiet, located nearby a small river, with campsites available in the West Loop alongside the river. No bear-proof garbage containers are present, but I did not see any signs of bears in the area. The park has a pay kiosk at the entrance, so visitors can drive through and select a site before paying. The kiosk prints out three receipts for the site pole, motorhome, and car. The parks webpage has a camp status page with a percentage of occupied sites, although it is not updated frequently. The service at the park is minimal, with no host on the grounds, only a pay kiosk and a County worker on shift. Despite this, the park caretaker was helpful and left tourist brochures for local activities on our doorstep. The park features excellent winery tours for visitors to enjoy. Overall, I would recommend Toll Bridge Park as a quiet, secluded camping spot with affordable prices.
From The Campground
Toll Bridge Park provides numerous sites for overnight camping, including partial hook-up sites for RV's, small campers and tents, single tent sites, and three group tent sites. The park also has a day-use area with a moderate sized picnic shelter. The day-use area is open during daylight hours only and all uses within the park are available on a FCFS basis. Reservations are not accepted for campsites or the picnic area. Be advised that campsites at Toll Bridge Park do not have sewer hook-ups or access to a dump station. The majority of sites do have electric and water services, and potable water and coin-operated showers are available throughout the park.
