GenieSummary

Nehalem Falls Campground is located in the Tillamook National Forest and is a great spot for camping in the Pacific Northwest. It has six walk-in tent sites, ten car camping sites, and two group sites that can be reserved. The tent sites are very private and right on the Nehalem River which is warm enough to swim in. It is a beautiful old growth forest with a river nearby and easy access to the Nehalem Falls trail. There is a small loop trail to explore and birding opportunities. The campground is very popular and is often full, especially on weekends, so it is best to arrive early to get a spot. The campground was featured on an outdoor show a few years ago and has been popular ever since. There are also nearby dispersed camping sites and other campgrounds in the area. Nehalem Falls Campground is a great spot for a peaceful and beautiful camping experience.

From The Campground

Oregon State Forests allow dispersed camping year-round with no fee or permit requirements. However, campers must adhere to ODF regulations regarding placement of campsites, campfires, sanitation, and stay limits. During the Regulated Use portion of fire season, campfires and charcoal barbeques are not allowed in dispersed campsites. There are no maps for dispersed campsites. Disabled Veterans with a valid Veteran's Special Access Pass may camp in the forest up to 10 days per month for free. Active-duty military personnel with a valid military ID may camp for free on Memorial Day and July 4th.
