From The Campground
Salters Cabin Horse Camp is a free facility located in a shaded, second-growth, ponderosa pine forest in Ochoco National Forest & Crooked River National Grassland. It is a small campground best suited for folks with a large trailer or recreational vehicles. There is a large corral available on-site for those visitors who choose to camp with their horses. The Forest Service requests that you pack out waste and adhere to the weed-free regulations to reduce the spread of invasive species in the forest. There is a 14 day stay limit on all National Grassland and US Forest Service land including but not limited to campgrounds and other developed facilities.
