From The Campground
Bear Wallow Creek Campground is a small, rustic campground located in the Umatilla National Forest. It offers 8 campsites, including 1 accessible site and 2 accessible vault toilets. The campground is adjacent to State Highway 244 and is conveniently located for hunting, bird watching, and photo opportunities. The campground also features a 1/4-mile-long, accessible interpretive trail detailing the life cycle of steelhead salmon. There is no potable water or garbage service, so visitors are advised to dispose of their garbage at home. The campground is open from late May until mid-November and is available throughout the winter via snowmobile access only.
