Slide Creek Campground is located adjacent to the northern border of the Strawberry Mountain Wilderness. It offers opportunities for stream fishing, hiking, hunting, and wilderness access. The campground is set amongst ponderosa pine trees along Slide Creek and is only 1.5 miles from Strawberry Campground and the Strawberry Basin Trailhead. The campground has 3 single sites, each with wooden picnic tables and older fire rings. There is no fee for camping and the campground is lightly used. Visitors should be prepared for rapidly changing weather conditions. Pack it in/Pack it out. Anything take home anything you bring with you into the forest, including all trash. Examples of trash: cigarette butts, cans, bottles, and food.
