GenieSummary
This campground is a great spot for RVers looking to explore Oregons high desert region. Located just ½ mile south of the center of Prineville, the campground features fully paved access roads and pull-through sites, separated by a grass strip and surrounded by tall trees for plenty of shade and privacy. The sites are narrow but long enough to fit large rigs and toads, and the park is pet friendly with doggie waste bags placed around the perimeter of the park and a fenced off-leash area just across the street. The park has a manager who oversees it with a great deal of care, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Amenities include full hookups, cable and Wi-Fi (once installed), a clubhouse with a touchscreen system for late arrivals to use to register, a large pavilion with grills and sink, and a fire pit. The restrooms and showers are always very clean with plenty of hot water and good pressure, although the washers and dryers are overpriced. The park is adjacent to the county fairgrounds, so there may be some noise during the times that events are held there, and its a great spot to stay for the county rodeo event as you can walk right into the fairgrounds from the park.
