From The Campground

Elkhorn Campground is located on the edge of Forest Service land in the Maury Mountains and nestled under large ponderosa pine trees, giving it a secluded feel. It is conveniently located near the Maury Mountain agate beds which host red, green, and gold moss agates. The campground has 5 single campsites, each with a picnic table and plenty of space for tent camping. Recreational vehicles can be accommodated in this campground, with one existing pull-through campsite and the rest of the campsites requiring backing in. There are no hook-ups of any kind offered at this site. The campground has a vault toilet and parking varies by campsite. This is a First Come, First Served facility and is free to use. There is a 14 day stay limit on all National Grassland and US Forest Service land including but not limited to campgrounds and other developed facilities.
