From The Campground

Hewitt and Holcomb campgrounds are located near Richland, Oregon and offer RV and tent campsites for visitors exploring the North East corner of Baker County. The campgrounds are situated on the banks of the Powder River arm of the Snake River's Brownlee Reservoir, providing an excellent warm water fishery experience. Brownlee Reservoir offers fishing, water recreation, and boating. The day-use area features a wide, paved boat ramp, fish cleaning station, and viewing deck. The park is open for day-use year-round and offers picnic areas where visitors may see wildlife, including deer, pronghorn, geese, eagles, chukars, and quail. The campground is open from about April 1 to September 30, weather permitting, and limited first-come, first-served camping may be available during the winter months. The park offers electrical sites with water and tent sites with water nearby, and reservations may be made up to 12 months in advance by calling the Parks office. Amenities include a dump station, boat ramp, hot shower, flush and vault restrooms, camping, and picnicking. Firewood and ice are available for purchase, and dogs are allowed in the park. Mosquito populations can be high during the summer.
