Barview Campground is a great spot for a coastal camping adventure. Located just outside of Rockaway Beach and about an hour and 45 minutes from Portland, the campground offers a variety of sites for both tent and RV camping. Many of the sites have electric and water hookups, and some are even large enough to accommodate both tents and RVs. There are plenty of trees and shrubbery for privacy, and the campground is open year-round. The beach is just a short walk away, and you can enjoy fishing, crabbing, and clamming either at the campground or within 30 minutes. There is also a large climbable dune just inside the park, which is great for exploring and popular with kids. The nearby day use area connects to a long jetty sticking out into the ocean, and you can watch the sunset or take a morning beach walk or run. The campground also has a playground, a general store, and a fire pit. All in all, Barview Campground is a great spot for a coastal camping adventure, with plenty of beach, mountain, and jetty views, and easy access to the beach.
