Silver Falls State Park in Silverton, OR is a stunningly beautiful area, with spacious and well-maintained campsites, amazing waterfall trails, and clean facilities. Park rangers are known for being friendly and attentive, and there are bathrooms located throughout the park with outlets and showers. Although the shower heads are a bit odd, they are effective. It is suggested to keep cars on the driveway at each campsite to keep the park orderly, but this was not an issue for most visitors. Wildlife, such as raccoons, can be seen at night but they are not harmful. Visitors recommend hiking the Trail of Ten Waterfalls, a six-mile loop that passes by 7 out of 10 beautiful falls. Stopping for a map is recommended to keep track of which falls have been seen. Visitors can also enjoy drinks and snacks at the cafe next to the trailhead after completing the hike. There are also great temperate rain forest trails throughout the park. The RV sites are quite private and the campground is located within walking distance of the falls. There is open grass for dogs to play and firewood and ice can be easily purchased on site. Silver Falls State Park is an amazing state park that is often compared to many RV resorts.
