What others are saying about this campground
Named after a large eddy in the Nehalem River, this scenic campground is great for families and groups looking for a peaceful getaway. With lots of trees and shade, each site has a firepit and picnic table, perfect for enjoying the outdoors. Theres a small playground and places for kids to bike, as well as a pet area and a playground set for smaller kids. For those looking to get out on the river, there is a small but crude boat ramp for kayaks, canoes, and rafts, and bank fishing is also available. The campground is almost always quiet at night, other than the occasional car or truck passing by on the highway. The town of Vernonia is nearby, but not walking distance, and offers a market, hardware store, and bars. This campground is great for those looking for a peaceful, family-friendly getaway.
