Glens Cove is a low-cost campground that offers a variety of activities such as fishing, power boating, canoeing, kayaking, biking, and a quiet place to stay. The campground has a concrete boat ramp, dock, and slips with electric for boats up to 25 feet, an enclosed fish cleaning station, and plenty of room for trailer parking or boat and RV storage. The common area is very large and located on the St. Marys river waterfront, where visitors can watch freighters go by, nap in the hammock, or enjoy campfires and lively discussions in the evening. Fire pits, picnic tables, 30 amp and water are available at all sites, and there is a dump cart and small tractor for all to use for the dump station. The camp access road and all interior roads are well-maintained gravel. Showers and bathrooms are scattered around the park, and there is an honor system laundry on the hill near the entrance. The camp store is well-stocked with fishing gear and rental movies. The campground has 25 RV sites, 5 tent sites, and four waterfront cabins. Wi-Fi and rental motors and boats are available at the office. The owners live on-site, are very friendly, and go out of their way to ensure everyone has a great camping visit. The camping rate reflects Passport America discount, and seven days or more is $18. However, the sites are very crowded, and there is lots of dust due to the dirt sites. Additionally, there are millions of flies due to the close proximity of horses and their by-products. The swimming pool is indoor and seemed clean, but the dressing rooms for the swimming pool were fair. Visitors who prefer spacious sites and dislike dirt and flies may not enjoy camping at Glens Cove.

Beachside State Recreation Site is a small, exquisite destination campground located a few miles south of Waldport, Oregon. The campground is right alongside miles of broad, sandy beach perfect for kite flying and whale watching. Every campsite is mere seconds from the beach, which makes the park perfect for watching storms and sunsets. The campground is open seasonally from March 15 - Oct. 31, weather permitting. The park offers 32 electrical sites with water, 42 tent sites with water nearby, two yurts, flush toilets, hot showers, firewood for sale, a hiker/biker camp, and two campsites and both yurts are accessible to campers with disabilities. The park is an excellent mid-point stop as you take a jaunt on the coast. Within 30 miles in either direction, you'll find visitor centers, tide pools, hiking and driving tours, three lighthouses, crabbing, clamming, fishing, the Oregon Coast Aquarium and science centers.
