From The Campground

Cottonwood Pit Campground is a free, first-come, first-served facility located in an old gravel pit in Ochoco National Forest & Crooked River National Grassland. The campground has 3 established campsites and a large parking area that can accommodate several vehicles. Though it is not very deep, the gravel pit is known by locals to be a refreshing swimming hole in hot summer months and is occasionally stocked with Red Band Trout. There is a vault toilet available on-site. Please note that there are no hook-ups of any kind available at this location.
