GenieSummary

This campground is an ideal spot for those looking for a quiet getaway. Nestled in the woods between Highway 101 and the Umpqua River Lighthouse, the campground is heavily forested and provides semi-private spaces. The campground is well maintained and patrolled by park rangers, and sites are tidied up quickly after campers leave. There is a short trail around the small lake and a walk down the road to the lighthouse. The sites are suitable for smaller trailers, although larger rigs may have to unhook and park the tow vehicle at overflow area. There are few sites with sewer hookups, but a nice dump station is located at the entrance/exit of the park. The power is good and steady, and water is available at the site. There are also TINY bathrooms with flush toilets and sinks. Unfortunately, there is no beach access from here and satellite/TV is impossible due to the dense canopy. Prices are $30 plus an $8 transaction fee.

From The Campground

Umpqua Lighthouse State Park is a beautiful park located in Winchester Bay, Oregon. The park offers a variety of activities including fishing, hiking, and camping. The campground has showers available for no charge to campers and offers short walking trails around Lake Marie. The odd numbered deluxe yurts and the 2 rustic cabins offer a stunning view of the lake. Pets are welcome at the park, but must be confined by the owner or on a leash not more than six (6) feet long, and kept under physical control at all times. The park is open year-round and reservations are highly recommended.
