GenieSummary

This campground is perfect for RV camping only. The entrance is tight due to having to drive through a railroad trestle, but it is conveniently located right off of I-5. The river scenery is beautiful and the park is quiet and peaceful. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and will even chat and pet your dogs if you engage them. The sites are a bit close together, but they are level and have full hookups with 50 amp service. There are beautiful picnic areas along the river and boat access. The only downside is the noise from the train and I-5, which runs 2-3 times a day.

From The Campground

Located on the North Umpqua River 6 miles north of Roseburg, the John P. Amacher County Park and Campground provides day use and camping recreation. It is a great park that can be your home base to experience all that central Douglas County has to offer. The campground provides 20 full-hook up and and 10 non-hook up sites with showers and restrooms. Tent camping is not allowed at this time. The boat ramp is developed with parking and a restroom, providing access to the North Umpqua River. Amenities include picnic areas, pavilion, swimming, fishing, float tubing, trails, and river access.
