From The Campground
Tollgate Campground is located in Mt. Hood National Forest and is one of the most convenient campgrounds to Portland, making it a great headquarters for exploring the Mt. Hood area. The campground provides access to a variety of trails, as well as historic sites, including spots along the famed Oregon Trail. There are 15 single campsites and 1 group site available for camping, with potable water and vault toilets. The campground is open from May to September and reservations can be made online or by phone. The day-use fee is $10 per vehicle, and only Northwest Forest Pass is accepted in lieu of the fee. Fishing, hiking, and picnicking are popular activities in the area. Discounts are available for single site camping with Interagency Senior, Interagency Access, Golden Age, or Golden Access passes.
