What others are saying about this campground
Locust Lake State Park in Barnesville, PA has a small but pretty lake with clean water and a paved path encircling it. The hills and trails surrounding the campground are nice for hiking. The campsites can be uneven and some campers felt squished next to their neighbors, but the sites are spaced pretty well. The park sells most camping necessities along with hard ice cream and nice souvenirs. There is a small beach area with sand for swimming and kayaking. However, some campers have reported incidents of hate speech and illicit drug use on the campground that were not addressed by staff. Despite some issues, the park has good potential for a family-friendly camping experience, as well as a good spot for a day trip.
