Camp Swatara is a great family friendly campground located off I-78 near attractions such as Cabelas and Roadside America. There are plenty of activities to do such as hiking, fishing, boating, swimming, mini golf, a splash pad, ball fields, and creeks to play in. The campground is owned by the Church of the Brethren and is quite and friendly, but has strict rules regarding the use of tobacco, alcohol, and playing radios. There are tall trees, a large lake, and lots of hiking trails. The spaces are fairly close together, so it might feel crowded in the summer. They have added a splash pad, gaga ball pit and looks like they are currently building a new playground. There are also cabins to rent with electric. This campground is perfect for families looking for a peaceful and fun camping experience.

Camp Swatara offers a variety of accommodations, from tent sites with food service to rustic cabins, and can accommodate just about any group in whatever setting you prefer. The campground hosts a range of events throughout the year, including outdoor education, movie nights, summer camp, service days, and family weekends.
