Roaring Run Resort is a quiet campground located about 30 minutes from Pittsburgh. It is a membership-based campground and can be accessed using coast to coast. The park is clean, reasonably well kept and has basic amenities. There is a pool, a playground, a camp store, sports courts, horseshoes, volleyball, and a mini golf course for campers to enjoy. The staff is always helpful and patrol the park throughout the day and night for security purposes. The campground is gated, you have to stop at the security booth before entering or leaving the park, which provides an added level of security. The park is easy to navigate even for larger rigs. However, some sites can be tricky to get into because of their location on a hill. The sites themselves are decent, but there are no sewer hookups and no 50 amp service, the whole park is 30 amp. The picnic table benches are weathered and some are completely rotted out. There are two dump stations, one located on the way out, and the other located in one of the upper loops. The closest town is about 20 minutes away, where you can find restaurants, a Lowes, and auto parts stores. The campground is about 40 minutes from the Flight 93 National Memorial, about 20 minutes from Fallingwater, and there are a couple of wineries in the area as well.
