The campsites are flat and some are in full shade while others are out in the open. The bath houses are well maintained and the park hosts are right next to the ranger station in case of any issues. Theres also a lot to explore in the surrounding area, including Ole Bull State Park, the Susquehannock State Forest, Kettle Creek, the PA Grand Canyon, and the Town of Wellsboro. Plus, the park is only a short drive away from Cherry Springs Dark Sky Preserve, making it ideal for stargazing. Ole Bull State Park is a 132-acre park located in Potter County, PA. The park is situated along the Kettle Creek Valley and is known as the Black Forest due to its once dense tree cover, mountainous terrain, and wilderness habitat. The park offers a variety of recreational activities including hiking, picnicking, swimming, fishing, hunting, mountain biking, XC skiing, and snowmobiling. During the summer months, the park has an environmental educator who presents programs about the history and natural resources of the area. The programs include guided walks, children’s programs, and evening campfire programs.
