This campground is located off of a busy highway and offers full hookup sites with shady, non-level gravel, as well as unshaded gravel sites that are much closer to level. The roads are in good condition, but there are some small potholes. There are two clean, private showers in the open bathhouse. The grounds are well maintained and the area is scenic. The owners are friendly and helpful, and are making updates to the campground. There is a state park a few miles away for hiking and swimming. The campfire ring is filled with beer bottles and aluminum cans, making it unusable. The campers to the left and right of the site appear to be abandoned and covered in debris and moss. The WiFi uses a captive portal with a unique code for each device, and the cable works with several channels available. The water pressure is low, and the voltage is marginal. The bathrooms and showers are very dated and need a major overhaul.

Snyder’s Family Campground is located in Gaines Township, Tioga County, home of the PA Grand Canyon and one of the most beautiful areas of the PA Wilds! Our campground is nestled in a valley between two mountain ranges, within walking distance to Pine Creek, with some of the finest fishing in PA! There are also plenty of other outdoor activities such as hunting (deer, turkey, bear and small game) with hundreds of acres of state game land nearby, skiing (Oregon Hill), hiking (miles of rails to trails), snowmobiling & atvs ( trails just minutes away), horseback riding (along Pine Creek on the rails to trails) rafting (down through the canyon), canoeing , star-gazing at Cherry Springs Dark Skies and much more! Come, bring your family and enjoy the scenic beauty and outdoor adventures that make up our little piece of the PA Wilds!
