The main camp area is a large, flat field with roughly half having shade. There are central dumpsters and some scattered porta-potties. The campgrounds proximity to the Appalachian Trail is a plus.

Mountain Creek Campground is a family-oriented campground located in the heart of Pennsylvania's South Mountain. With nearly 300 sites, the campground offers a variety of RV and tent sites, camper rentals, and cabin rentals. The campground features a fully stocked store, swimming pool, local winery, golf cart rentals, and is pet-friendly. There are planned activities, volleyball, basketball, mini-golf, gaga pit, pool games, live entertainment, and much more. The campground is centrally located for easy access to Carlisle, Gettysburg, Hershey, York, and Lancaster. The goal is to provide a clean, well-maintained, and friendly service-oriented campground where guests can enjoy their leisure time in comfort.
