What others are saying about this campground
Raccoon Creek State Park is a large campground located half an hour from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. With over 7,000 acres of woods and more than 20 miles of trails, its the perfect destination for nature lovers. The campground offers a variety of campsites, including sunny, wooded, solitary, tightly packed, dog-friendly, and dog-free. There are also cabins, picnic areas, and a canoe rental shop. The lake has a beach and concession stand (in summer) and is great for swimming, fishing, and kayaking. There are also plenty of dog walking trails, a wildflower reserve, and a horse trail. The campground has water spigots, a camp host, and a dump station. There is also a farmers market close by for fresh food. The park ranger is friendly and the park is well patrolled. The campground is great for tent camping, trailers, and motorhomes, although only a few sites are wide enough for motorhomes. There is no Wi-Fi or water at individual campsites, but there is a water pump and the pit toilets are clean and well-lit.
