From The Campground

Greenwood Furnace State Park offers year-round outdoor recreation, including ice fishing, ice skating, cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, sledding, and hiking. The park office has a visitor center and gift shop with displays on the former ironmaking community and a variety of items for sale. The park hosts several events throughout the year, including the Huntingdon County Arts Council's Folk Gathering, a holiday open house, and Snowfest. The park also has an electric-vehicle charging station and is ADA accessible. In case of emergency, visitors can call 911 and contact a park employee. The nearest hospital is Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.
