Tompkins in Lawrenceville, PA is a wonderful campground with lots of shade from mature trees on most sites and great views of Lake Cowanesque from the Bench loop. Choose your type of camping from hiking in to full hookups. Many sites have shade if you prefer, but also open ones for satellite access. Good facilities with clean washrooms and various hookups available. The volunteer hosts are friendly and helpful. They have three separate camphosts on-site. There are plenty of opportunities for fishing with a cleaning station and a place to buy firewood and ice on the dump station loop. The only issue was a bit of confusion with the campground layout because the guard shack is closed.
