What others are saying about this campground
Cook Forest State Park in Leeper, PA is a beautiful park located on Rt 36. The park has fantastic hiking trails where you can explore old growth forests with many great sites. The park has spacious pet-friendly RV sites with a lot of shade. There is a small laundry available. The bathrooms are decent, and while the shower house could use an update, there is no lack of hot water and great water pressure. However, there is limited cellular reception in the area, with non-available coverage for Tmobile and Verizon. But fortunately, the Park Ranger Office provides a free wifi service that allows you to make calls and check your email. The nearby fire tower and scenic drive along the river road are noteworthy, with lots of picnic tables and places to hike. Although the park is quite remote, you can ask the Park Ranger at the office for maps of the area or directions to the campground, as finding the exact location of the campground can be a bit challenging. Lastly, there are not many shopping options nearby, so bring everything you need.
