The Locust campground is a great place to stay for those who dont mind a bit of noise and activity. The campground is situated on the river, offering beautiful views and plenty of fishing opportunities. There are plenty of planned activities for the kids, and you can take a ride through scenic Amish country or go shopping in neighboring small towns. Unfortunately, there is no working WI-FI on site, and the campground can be quite noisy at night with trains passing by and people and children running around. There is also a pool with floaters in it, and people in golf carts driving past and staring at your family every few minutes. If you dont mind these things, you will love this campground. However, if youre looking for a more peaceful experience, you may be better off at the Walmart parking lot down the road, where you can get free wi-fi and rest in peace.

WaterSide Campground & RV Park is a highly rated campground located directly on the Juniata River and the Historic Pennsylvania Canal. It offers a beautiful natural setting and is just minutes away from nearby Lewistown's attractions, restaurants, and shops. The campground is open year-round and accommodates all kinds of travelers. It offers a heated pool, river access for fishing and swimming, historic canal rides, theme weekends, regular church services, and children's activities. A wide variety of adventures and excursions are nearby as well, including kayak and rafting trips, shopping, dining, and tours of Lewistown; as well as a visit to the Big Valley, home to the area's Amish communities.
