Buttonwood Campground in Mifflintown, PA is a well-maintained, beautiful campground with two sections, one being on the river side and the other across the street. The campground has plenty of activities to keep a family busy with the staff being knowledgeable, congenial, and helpful. The grounds are well-landscaped with a nice pool and a winery on site. The owners are involved and it shows. Although the train can be heard running 24/7, we got used to it. This is one of our favorite campgrounds to visit, and we come here quite often. The roads to the campground are very narrow and rough, and while it is one of the few places to camp in the area, the nightly rate is relatively expensive (around $80/night).
