Scarlett Knob Campground is the perfect place for tent camping. Located a couple of miles from Fallingwater and a 6 minute car ride from town, it provides a safe and secluded place to stay. The roads are not paved or recently graded, so it is not suitable for campers over 30 or Class-A vehicles. Each tent site is wooded and secluded, with fire rings and ample parking. There is a small store with basic essentials and coffee in the mornings. The owners are very gracious and will check you in even if you arrive late. The campground is quiet and well-maintained, but no maintenance has been done for years. Be sure to have 4 wheel drive in case of rain. The fees are steep, but the views and seclusion are worth it.

From The Campground
Scarlett Knob Campground is a privately owned campground located on a scenic hilltop adjoining the 20,000 acre Ohiopyle State Park, and overlooking the Youghiogheny River Valley in southwestern Pennsylvania. All of our camping sites are wooded with an area for your tent(s), a picnic table and a fire ring. Pets are welcome on your site. They are not permitted to be left on grounds unattended. A fishing lake (no license required) and recreation field are available for use by campers. Facilities include a restroom with hot, coin-operated showers, sinks, and pit toilets and a restroom with flush toilets and sinks. We have an open terrace area for Boy Scout Troop camping.
