Bear Run Campground is a large campground located on a hillside in beautiful farmland with plenty of trees providing shade and cover. While the sites may be a bit smaller, they are plenty long for large rigs and towing vehicles. The park has a lot of seasonal campers but short stay campers are segregated from them. They also have a large primitive area. The dynamic registration system (Campspot) means the price you pay depends on how full the park is, the day of the week, and how close it is to holidays. The park is set up terraced up the hill, and maneuvers with big rigs could be challenging, but staff guides guests to their spots. The showers and restrooms were relatively clean, but pressure and temperature adjustments can be an issue. However, the campground had a lot of amenities that include a large playground, nice-looking pool, pool tables, among other kid things that you might not find anywhere else. The store has everything you need and is not overpriced like other campgrounds. They also have themed weekends with crafts, wagon rides, ice cream socials, and more. The entire campground is well maintained, dog-friendly, and nestled in secluded woods that make it feel peaceful and quiet, minus the sounds of nature.
